2027 Farm Share CSA
Our CSA is coming back for 2027 — and this time it runs straight from our farm to you.
A CSA share means you reserve your spot in the season, and once or twice a month you pick up a box of what the farm is producing. Everything is grown here at Sunrise Hollow, chemical-free and regeneratively, the same way we grow for our own table. You pay for each box when you pick it up - no big payment up front.
We're keeping it small on purpose: 8 shares. That's what our garden can do well without over-promising. The month has a rhythm: Breakfast boxes come the second week of each month, and Farmer's Choice boxes come the fourth week.
Enrollment isn't open yet — the form at the bottom of this page puts you on the 2027 interest list, and the list hears first when the shares open.
What's Inside?
Breakfast Share — $35 a box
Built around the morning basket. A typical box holds:
- 1 dozen eggs
- 1 sourdough boule
- Seasonal fruit or vegetables
- A fresh herb bundle
- A pouch of our herbal tea of the month
This share leans on the producers that never take a week off — the hens and the oven — so it's the most weather-proof box we offer.
Farmer's Choice — $40 a box
The classic CSA box: what's ripe and abundant that week, chosen by us.
A typical box holds:
- 6–8 seasonal vegetables or storage crops, depending on the season
- Fresh herbs
- Salad greens
- A pouch of our herbal tea of the month
Contents change with the garden. That's the deal with a farmer's choice box, and we'd rather say it plainly than promise a list the weather hasn't agreed to.
Add-ons — order ahead, tucked into your box
- Extra eggs $5 a dozen (subject to lay; the hens decide)
- Extra sourdough boule $10 a loaf
- Honey sampler jar $2
How it works
- Pickup is at the farm in Union City, PA, on Fridays. A second pickup runs on Saturday in Erie (Peach Street area). The exact meet spot is confirmed with members before each pickup.
- Twice a month, on the month's rhythm: The season opens with a spring box in April, and regular boxes run June through late October. Breakfast boxes the second week, Farmer's Choice boxes the fourth week. The weeks between are deliberate: if a crop fails, we have time to substitute instead of handing you a light box.
- Bring back last pickup's box and take the next one full. Every returned box earns you a $5 credit toward your next pickup, and the season's last returned box earns that credit rolled over to next season, or cash back, your choice.
- Can't make a pickup? We confirm with you the week before and the day before each pickup. A box you confirmed but can't collect is held for 24 hours, then offered to the waitlist - Tell us a week ahead and it can go to a friend instead.
- Payment is per box, at pickup — $35 on breakfast weeks, $40 on Farmer's Choice weeks. Zelle and cash accepted. There is no season lump sum.
